Salary: £39,739 to £50,296 Per annum

The University of Southampton seeks to appoint a Senior Teaching Fellow in Philosophy for a 2.5 year period.
The Philosophy Department at Southampton has an excellent reputation for teaching and research. We are based within the School of Humanities in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and have close interdisciplinary links with other members of the School and the wider University. The successful candidate for this post will have a PhD or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in Philosophy by the date of appointment, as well as proven teaching skills, will be enthusiastic and flexible in contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and will be keen to participate fully in the intellectual and academic activities of a lively and committed department which prizes collegiality very highly.
While we welcome applications from those with teaching ability and experience in any area of Philosophy, an ability to teach ethics and/or philosophy of religion would be desirable.
The successful candidate must be able to take up the post by Monday 24th January 2022.
