Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Pathology (Ref.: 508632), to commence as soon as possible for two to three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in cancer/molecular/cellular biology or related disciplines, with research experience in genomics data and bioinformatics. They should demonstrate a strong passion for scientific and clinical research and huge motivation to make contributions to patients with significant medical needs. They should have a good command of English, good interpersonal and communication skills, self-initiative, knowledge of research-related computer software, and the ability to work independently. Preference will be given to those with experience in cell culture, transfection, in vitro/in vivo functional studying of signal transduction pathways, flow cytometry analysis, preclinical drug testing, and animal handling. A good publication record and grant application experience would also be advantages.
The appointee will join a research group with opportunities to conduct projects on female genital cancers supported by major research grants. A main focus of his/her work will be on the analysis and validation of genomics data, while maintaining the smooth running of a research laboratory.
