About the Role

We have an exciting and newly created position for a Lecturer in Networking within UniSA STEM. The primary focus for the Lecturer in Networking will be on the delivery of high quality teaching and associated administrative duties within the undergraduate and/or postgraduate program in Networking. Reporting directly to a Professorial Lead in UniSA STEM, this position will also see you working closely with Program Directors, Course Coordinators and the Dean of Programs (Science, Technology and Mathematics) to support STEM’s teaching and learning outcomes.

Core Responsibilities

  • Prepare and conduct learning activities including lectures, tutorials, assessment
  • Implement innovative teaching approaches (including face-to-face, online and blended learning)
  • Deliver high quality teaching as demonstrated by a range of University approved data sources
  • Undertake administrative duties relative to teaching activities of identified courses and programs
  • Demonstrate commitment to improving personal teaching practice, including seeking and responding to feedback

Essential Skills and Experience

Level A

  • Bachelor qualification and postgraduate qualification and/or relevant industry/discipline experience in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant networking related area 
  • Ability to undertake a range of teaching duties including the preparation of appropriate teaching activities and resources in Cisco networking
  • Experience in Cisco CCNA and CCNP
  • High-level of communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members, external parties and colleagues
  • Ability to use the necessary digital techniques required for excellent curriculum delivery

Level B

  • A postgraduate degree or equivalent professional/industry experience in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant networking related area
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in teaching, including design and preparation of teaching activities and resources in Cisco networking
  • Experience in teaching networking with a focus in Cisco CCNA and CCNP
  • Competence in using the necessary digital techniques required for excellent curriculum delivery
  • Experience in using a range of contemporary teaching methodologies
