Job Purpose

BPP requires a highly motivated, creative and technically aware Paid Search Manager to join our expanding performance team focused on growing our student network. The successful candidate will manage the overall day-to-day running of domestic and international campaigns for our Professional Education, University and Apprenticeship offerings. This is a great opportunity for someone with proven paid search experience (with a strong focus on PPC) and success to drive forward BPP’s main performance advertising.

You will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge of all aspects of performance media, working closely with other members of the Social, Display and Customer Insight teams. You will play a key role in evolving our paid search direction ensuring BPP stays ahead of the industry. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage an effective paid search strategy and develop a best-in-class approach to an agreed budget
  • Plan and implement paid search campaigns which add real value to BPP's overall performance
  • Work along side customer insight team to integrate attribution data into day to day RTB approaches
  • Work along side customer insight and wider marketing team to create and deploy salesforce audiences to aid conversion.
  • Immerse yourself with BPPs marketing conversion stages and audience personas to deliver tailored ads to help conversion
  • Manage and execute the day to day implementation of the paid search account including ad copy changes, keyword analysis, account optimisation and budget checks
  • Be the main point of contact for the ongoing performance of our paid search activity
  • Ensure the paid search strategy forms a coherent part of the overall marketing strategy.
  • Providing paid search best practice recommendations to the product and content teams
  • Work alongside team members in optimising landing pages for conversion
  • Conducting competitor analysis
  • Ensure all activity is effectively tracked Monitor the evolution of the industry and keep abreast of current updates
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures with regards to budget expenditure, displaying budget control for individual projects reporting any variances promptly

Candidate Criteria

  • Significant, proven paid search campaign implementation experience across multiple product portfolios.
  • Experience of managing large budgets
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Ads and/or SearchAds360
  • Experience of using Bing
  • Experience of managing bulk changes via offline platforms such as Google Ads editor or similar
  • Google Ads Certified
  • Bing certified
  • Knowledge of and exposure to SearchAds360 would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of and exposure to Salesforce Audience Studio would be an advantage
  • Strong copywriting skills and creative flair in developing high quality advertisements
  • Experience in working with third party tracking systems (specifically DoubleClick Search)
  • Experience in delivering PPC across international markets would be an advantage
  • Budget management experience
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver high-quality work to timescale
  • A high degree of numeracy and literacy are essential
