About You

With the ability to manage a case-load of contracts and other legal documents effectively and efficiently, you will have experience of successful contracts work in a complex and changing environment, preferably within a Higher Education setting. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge and understanding of research contracting and you must be able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.

To be successful, you will be well organised and have good problem-solving skills. You will also be an effective communicator to be able to help colleagues at all levels with the ability to make clear recommendations to managers.

About the Role

The post gives you the chance to work at the heart of the research support process in a University with a rapidly growing and strengthening research profile. You will work with academic and professional support services staff in order to enable a wide range of research projects in all of the academic disciplines represented at Edge Hill. You will be able to apply and develop your skills as a contract practitioner in a higher education research context.

You will be welcomed into a small and supportive department. The Research Office offers a variety of research support functions that the role feeds in to – through working alongside colleagues in the Research Office you will develop and extend your understanding of the contracting with research funders, collaborators and regulators.
