The Department of Informatics is seeking applications from candidates for two positions of Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence Education on the Academic Education Pathway (AEP), starting in January 2022, or as soon as possible thereafter.   

The successful applicant for these posts will be primarily focused on teaching in the area of artificial intelligence, with a focus on enhancing educational quality and innovation. They will be assigned to teach on our undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes and to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate projects on these programmes. The successful applicants will need knowledge and awareness of current research and practice in an area relevant to artificial intelligence.  Artificial intelligence is to be understood in its broadest sense, including machine learning, symbolic reasoning, knowledge representation, mathematical and logical foundations for AI, AI engineering, robotics, and applications of AI. 

Applicants must have a PhD in artificial intelligence, computer science or a related field. The successful applicants will be part of the Department of Informatics and will be expected to contribute to its wider activities and development. Engagement in research related to artificial intelligence education where applicable in improving research-led teaching on taught programmes is encouraged.
