Situated in the heart of a beautiful and historic city, The University of Lincoln was named as the Modern University of the Year in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021. It is an ambitious and dynamic organisation which prides itself on deep engagement with employers and its local communities and thought-leadership within the UK HE sector.

The work we do here at the University of Lincoln matters, and working here, you will make a lasting impact on students’ lives. Our student experience is central to what we do so you’ll need to be passionate about what you do, and always looking for ways to improve.

This full-time, fixed-term role sits within the Global Opportunities department. The key aims of this department are a) to deliver international exchange opportunities for students and staff through schemes such as Erasmus+ and the new Turing scheme b) to support and develop the University’s Trans-National Education partnerships and c) to promote the University’s “Internationalisation@Home” initiative. Together these aims support the University in its internationalisation objectives.

You will take a key supporting role in the development of the new Turing Scheme. The role will entail exploring and developing short international mobility programmes typically of four weeks duration, for our students to undertake overseas. These new programmes could be developed in cooperation with one of our existing international partner institutions, or with new partners who can host our students on a short international programme. The role will also support and enhance the work already undertaken within the Department on other short term opportunities, such as field trips and externally hosted summer schools.

We provide our staff with a comprehensive benefits package which includes 30 days annual leave (with additional University closure days and bank holidays), a generous pension scheme, local and national discounts, green travel initiatives, and a variety of development opportunities.

If you want to be a part of an innovative and forward-looking working environment, please apply now.

We actively encourage internal applications in support of our commitment to developing staff by providing opportunities for movement and promotion across the University. We would consider a secondment arrangement, subject to the agreement of your current line manager.
