The Faculty of Social Sciences welcomes applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to join its Faculty Operating Service, as a Senior Administrator based at Highfield Campus. As a member of our team, you will make an important and rewarding contribution to our exciting, varied and engaging activity across our University, working with colleagues and students from diverse and interesting backgrounds.

The successful candidate will have an interest in international student recruitment and will be comfortable working with professional service and academic colleagues alike to achieve targets; providing specialist advice, cultural knowledge and market intelligence to enable the University to advance it's internationalisation agenda.

 You will be able to build strong relationships and partnerships with internal and external organisations and groups and be able to liaise confidently with your stakeholders. Excellent organisational, communication and people skills are essential. You will have strong IT skills for example being a competent user of Microsoft Office and similar software.

This is a one-year fix term senior administrator post, aiming to start in Nov 2021. The admin role will work mainly on the following key areas supporting international recruitment and student experience activities:

  1. International recruitment: the post holder will proactively liaise with CRM and marketing team in the faculty to set up and coordinate subject webinars or in person talks for FIO colleagues and academics.  They will assist in routine communications including follow-up with prospective applicants, and where appropriate facilitate academic staff-student interactions. 
  2. Student-engagement projects: The postholder will proactively facilitate international student forums, in-person or online welcome events, special forums and culture activities through the (virtual and on-campus) global lounge. 
  3. The postholder will provide admin support to senior colleagues of the Faculty International Office team, which includes but not limited to filling administrative forms, generating school-specific student reports, and conducting relevant market research.
