The University’s College of Engineering, Science and Environment brings together expertise in engineering, the sciences, and the environment to deliver life ready graduates and transformative solutions to our region and the world. The School of Environmental & Life Sciences is a large multi-disciplinary school in the College with teaching and research on the Callaghan and Ourimbah campuses. The Ourimbah campus on the Central Coast offers a range of contemporary science programs spanning exercise and sports science, food science and human nutrition, and environmental science and management. The Central Coast is also home to a growing health sector, and collaborative opportunities exist for future research partnerships with staff at the newly developed Gosford Hospital and Health Precinct.

The exercise and sports science discipline offers a dynamic working environment that is supported with modern teaching and research facilities. It has access to a wide variety of technologies and has dedicated teaching and research facilities across exercise physiology, biomechanics and strength and conditioning domains.

The Lecturer in Biomechanics has the opportunity to add value to programs by enhancing and continually improving the offering we provide our students. You will be invaluable in your knowledge of human physical performance and possess the ability to build strong networks within the biomechanics space. You will promote teaching innovation and develop initiatives to improve undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Your research skills will be highly valued in building the discipline and will be key to the success of developing the skillset of our future generations. to add value to our course framework and enhance highly quality learning experiences.

This full-time ongoing position will be located at the Ourimbah Campus.

How will you become part of our community?  

You will be an innovator, seeking to take the lead on our biomechanics teaching and research and inspiring our next generation of students. You will be passionate about your subject area and looking to pioneer development of state-of-the-art teaching and research. Your expertise in human physiology, performance, metabolism, biomechanics and skill acquisition is key to developing teaching methodologies within the discipline.

How will we support you?

The remuneration is $101,197 - $120,173, plus 17% superannuation.

*Remuneration rate as of 30/09/2021.
