Do you want to contribute to the strategic leadership of the internationally acclaimed Centre for Applied Dementia Studies which is moving into an exciting new phase of development?

We are seeking a dynamic academic leader to join us to continue to enhance our track record of excellence. You will be joining an inter-disciplinary mutually supportive, values-based team, focused primarily on research but also on cutting edge research-informed teaching and knowledge transfer.

This role is suitable for an applied researcher or an experienced clinical-academic in a relevant field, who is passionate about applied research with older people including, but not limited to, those with dementia. You will need to have proven leadership and management abilities, in addition to a robust track record in research, education and scholarship.

You will have experience of mentoring and building research capacity in others and recent success at winning research funding from funders such as the NIHR/ ESRC. You will be both ambitious and enthusiastic about collaborative ageing research, and dementia practice and education in Yorkshire, nationally and internationally. We are seeking a collaborative individual with the vision, ambition and track record to work with the Centre's professoriate and academics, the Faculty of Health Studies and the wider University, making a major contribution to both the work of our Centre and to develop further opportunities through participation in the Wolfson Centre for Applied Healthcare Research and the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Yorkshire & Humber (ARC Y & H).

The Wolfson partnership (University of Bradford, Bradford Institute for Health Research, University of Leeds, and Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) provides an ideal platform for collaborative work related to ageing including access to cohort studies such as Care-75.

We welcome and encourage job applications from people of all backgrounds and are fully committed to supporting all our employees so that they feel able to be their whole self at work.   We particularly welcome applications from Black and Minority Ethnic (BME), Disabled, LGBT+ and Non-binary candidates.

The salary is based on the Associate Professor Scale (Grade 10) or Professorial scale (Grade 11).
