Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow (several posts) in the Department of Microbiology (Ref.: 508494), to commence as soon as possible for two or three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

These posts are created specifically to bring new impetus and vigour to the University’s research talent pool, and to meet the strategic research needs identified by the Department of Microbiology. Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree with extensive research experience in cellular and molecular biology, cancer biology, immunology and virology; and preferably with experience in cell culture, virus culture, molecular cloning, protein expression, western blot assay, ELISA assay, confocal microscope, and animal studies (mouse models). They should be self-motivated with a strong interest in working closely with biologists, the ability to work independently as well as in a team, and good communication skills in English. The appointee will conduct research on virus host interaction and vaccine. Those who have responded to the previous advertisement (Ref.: 508075) need not re-apply.
