Set in the heart of a beautiful, safe and friendly city, the University of Lincoln is a forward-thinking, ambitious institution with high aspirations and a supportive, caring ethos. Named as Modern University of the Year in The Times and Sunday Times, Good University Guide 2021, our core mission is to combine outstanding, high-impact research and professional practice with a superb student experience and the highest quality civic engagement.

We are looking for an Associate Professor with proven experience of leadership in higher education, to champion and enhance the quality of teaching and learning in Design. You will be a team player, capable of positively influencing colleagues in efforts to ensure an equitable, enjoyable and enriching student experience. Ideally holding the Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (or equivalent), and with a regional and national profile in teaching and professional practice, you will be an innovative teacher, a creative thinker and an excellent communicator, with a strong grasp of the opportunities and challenges faced by the Design industry.

As School Director of Teaching and Learning, you will play a leading role in reviewing, reinvigorating and redeveloping the degree portfolio. You will support and guide the School’s work in bridging disciplines, institutions and nations; in diversifying, decolonising and internationalising the curriculum; embedding and extracting employability; advancing pedagogy and assessment, and promoting the student voice. Taking on a permanent role in the School, you will serve as School Director of Teaching and Learning for 4 years, with the possibility of extension subject to mutual agreement.
