You will coordinate delivery of the Sustainability Strategic Plan, enabling the programme team to deliver the comprehensive change programme as defined by the Sustainability Implementation Group (SIG) and overseen by the Sustainability Strategy Group. You will work in partnership with the Executive Programme Sponsor – DVC (Academic) - to enable the design, delivery and monitoring of the University’s Sustainability Strategic Plan. This ongoing and comprehensive programme has harnessed multiple themes as defined by the Strategic Plan and translated into goals with specific measures and outputs.
You will report to the Associate Director, Environment & Sustainability to integrate the change programme into the ongoing work led out of Estates and Facilities, delivering on the University KPI around delivery of a net-zero road map. You will also work in partnership the Chair of the Sustainability Implementation Group and acts as a business partner for the Sustainability Strategic Plan delivery team to ensure that all goals are met, within budget and in a timely manner, so that external and internal reporting deadlines and KPIs are met or exceeded. You will have excellent technical and communication skills, with the ability also to plan and manage your own workload.
You will be a positive and proactive problem solver and have the ability to manage often conflicting priorities at the same time, to ensure that work is delivered on time and to a high standard. A PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent, or traditional project management qualification is considered essential for the role. You will be able to build, manage and motivate project teams in a matrix management environment. You will be professional, clear thinking under pressure and act as a role model within the team, whilst also being self-sufficient and able to work independently.
