Applications are invited for a Temporary 18 month post of a Research Assistant within UCD College of Social Sciences and Law Background:

This research project is a collaboration between the UCD School of Information and Communications Studies and the School of Computer Science. The project, led by Prof. Eugenia Siapera, is funded through the Irish Research Council COALESCE programme. https://research.ie/funding/coalesce/ Project Description: The project focuses on health narratives hosted by the so called Alt-Tech social media platforms that have emerged as alternative versions of mainstream platforms.

The project will collect and analyse publicly available data related to Covid-19 hosted on Parler, Bitchute and Telegram along with relevant data from YouTube and Twitter. The RA will be responsible for qualitative data analysis. The position will be located in the School of Information and Communications Studies but will work closely with the School of Computer Science.

Fixed salary: €30,243 per annum
