UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1
Applications are invited for a temporary post of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 within UCD School of Medicine.
Applications are invited for the post of post -doctoral research fellow based in Anatomy within the UCD School of Medicine. This is a one year post based at the UCD Health Sciences Centre, Belfield.
The post-doc will work on the DAFM funded project "Fertile Bull". The aim of the project to improve the fertilizing capacity of bull sperm after sex-sorting.
The postholder will investigate the effects of different supplements on the survival time, behaviour within the oviduct and fertilizing ability before and after sex-sorting of bovine sperm. Ideally the postholder has experience in sperm handling and in vitro fertilization (IVF). This is a research focused role, where you will conduct a specified programme of research supported by research training and development under the supervision and direction of a Principal Investigator.
The primary purpose of the role is to further develop your research skills and competences, including the processes of publication in peer-reviewed academic publications, the development of funding proposals, the mentorship of graduate students along with the opportunity to develop your skills in research led teaching.
Fixed Salary: €38,631
