The University of East London is one of the most diverse and vibrant universities in the global capital. Our pioneering and forward-thinking vision is making a positive and significant impact to the communities we serve, inspiring staff and students to reach their full potential.
We are building an environment of success where colleagues are supported to achieve, and our community can flourish and thrive. We are an accredited Investors in People Award Institution and have achieved the Investors in People Health and Wellbeing Award. With Athena Swan Awards and being one of a small number of Universities to have achieved the Race Equality Charter Award, we continue on our journey to address and reduce barriers to opportunity.
We are now seeking to appoint our Head of Quality Assurance and Enhancement. You will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, advice and expertise on our quality assurance and enhancement policies and procedures, leading a team of around 15 staff to deliver a responsive, high quality service to internal and external stakeholders. Our new Head of Quality Assurance and Enhancement will ensure that we meet external regulatory expectations as set by the QAA, OfS, Ofsted and other relevant organisations and will lead external quality reviews and audits. You will also work closely with our academic community to enable change and share best practice.
Our ideal candidate should be forward-thinking, innovative, curious, high-energy, and passionate about making a positive difference to our inclusive and diverse University community. You must have relevant managerial experience and excellent understanding of the UK HE Quality Code and wider higher education policy.
For a confidential discussion, please contact Professor Hassan Abdalla – Provost of the University of East London, email: h.s.abdalla@uel.ac.uk
