Full Time: 35 hours per week
UWS Registry is seeking to recruit an experienced and highly organised Administrative Assistant to support University Registry functions.
You will work as part of a team within Registry, to provide a high level of service to students and staff across all campuses in relation to Registry functions (enrolment, exams, graduations, progression, student loans, timetabling and Transnational Education Partners etc). You will proactively work within a set of defined procedures to efficiently process information required for the effective handling of student records and progression of a student from first enrolment to after graduation. You will work through enquiries, identify problems and resolve them, work with your team and the Administrative Team Manager.
As part of a dynamic team with shared responsibilities listed in the Job Description you will have knowledge of and may provide some support to any of the Key Result Areas.
You will be educated to HND level or have equivalent work experience of administration and respect for equality and diversity, preferably in a Higher Education environment.
You will be expected to manage your own work with minimal supervision, prioritising the workload within set guidelines and using your initiative in day-to-day activities. Strict deadlines are required to be adhered to for many aspects of the work, although ad hoc requests and queries may take priority over planned tasks.
This is an opportunity to join a strong team of dedicated administrators to develop Registry and in doing so directly impact and support experience for all UWS students.
This post can be based at the Paisley, Lanarkshire or Ayr Campus. However, you may be required to work at any UWS campus or location from time to time to meet needs of the business.
