Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Nursing (Ref.: 508274), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree with a track record of research activities in public health, nursing, social work, statistics or related disciplines.  They should have excellent written and oral communication skills in both Chinese and English, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.  Preference will be given to those with a track record of implementing and evaluating intervention in elderly services, long-term care and residential setting. Strong statistical background and experience in handling large databases with STATA or SPSS would be distinct advantages. The appointee will participate in the evaluation of gerontechnology deployment in various settings of non-government organizations. He/She is expected to prepare study protocols and instruments, co-ordinate data collection, conduct data analysis, and write academic publications.  Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Dr. Derek Cheung at derekcheung@hku.hk.
