Full-time: 35 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Campus Services Team for a Health and Safety Officer.

Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, you will play an integral role in developing the Health and Safety culture within the University.  This will involve a high level of engagement with a range of colleagues throughout the University.  A positive and professional attitude, as well as excellent interpersonal skills, will be key in facilitating the proportionate management of any significant risks. You will support the Health and Safety Manager and Safety team, as well as working directly with colleagues across the University.  

This role will present a range of opportunities to develop knowledge across a wide range of situations, reflecting the diverse nature of the University’s operations.  

You will hold a NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) as well as ideally having a relevant degree (or equivalent) and being a member of IOSH (or equivalent professional body).

This role will be predominantly based at the Paisley campus however a significant amount of time will be spent at other campuses, in person or remotely as appropriate.  The Safety Team has responsibilities in a range of areas including Health and Safety, and Fire Safety,.
