Job Details
Northumbria University is a leading degree apprenticeship training provider and was one of the first UK universities to offer government-supported degree apprenticeships. With our ever growing Higher and Degree Apprenticeship portfolio, we offer a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate apprenticeships.
We are looking to appoint a coach coordinator (0.5 FTE) to manage the resource needs and coaching processes of a team of apprentices coaches. In addition to the management and co-ordination duties, you will also act as an apprentice coach for a group of students.
You will play a crucial role in enabling the University to deliver successful student learning in the workplace and build meaningful links between apprentice, the employer and the academic community. You will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of work-based and apprenticeship education and of business practices related to one or more of the following apprenticeship standards:
Chartered Manager, Strategic Leadership, Architecture, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Real Estate, Civil Engineering, Nursing, Operating Department Practitioner, Community Public Health Nursing, District Nursing, Advanced Clinical Practitioner
You will have experience of working with apprenticeship or post-experience learners ideally in a teaching or learner support role, an ability to lead and influence others and a Masters degree or professional experience related to one of the above fields.
