Job Description

As part of a strategic interdisciplinary initiative in “Sustainable Development”, the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS-CEE) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in “Urban Resilience” at the Assistant Professor level. We seek an enthusiastic and dynamic colleague with the ability to lead an internationally recognised research programme and teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. NUS-CEE emphasises interdisciplinary research and education in urban sustainability. Candidates who will complement the department strengths and extend departmental opportunities for convergence research are strongly encouraged to apply for this position.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or a closely related field, an exceptional portfolio of cutting-edge research, and a prolific record of publications in top journals in the field. A background in Resilient & Sustainable Urban Systems would be considered advantageous. Expertise in Data Mining and Analytics is desired. The successful applicant will be expected to teach existing undergraduate and graduate courses as part of the Civil and Environmental Engineering curricula as well as develop new and innovative courses related to sustainability and climate change.
