Facilities (site Services) is seeking applications with experience in delivering a high level of Customer Service including investigating numerous enquiries in person, by telephone or email. The role will be the central point of contact for a wide number of internal and external enquiries and must present at all times, a friendly, knowledgeable and professional attitude, demonstrating high standards of customer service to all contacts.

About Facilities

Facilities are a major support service for the University, dedicated to the effective management, development and maintenance of the University’s buildings, infrastructure and land. 

Our operational area covers a range of activities including the operation and maintenance of the University estate which comprises a variety of nearly 300 buildings ranging from offices, shops, laboratories, hangars and hotels to houses, flats and student halls of residence.

Facilities also provide central support services to include 5 Receptions, security, telephones, post, stores and transport.  This role forms part of the Facilities Site Services Team which is responsible for providing Reception and Admin support to the Facilities Professional Service Unit.

About the Role

The post holder is required to work within a small team and is responsible for Goods Inwards work relating to the booking, collection, storage and transfer  of goods, the collection and delivery of mail across the Campus, and processing outgoing post and parcels.

About You

You will have GCSE English and Maths or equivalent and be able to demonstrate prior experience in a customer facing role. With excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills both verbally and in writing. You will be flexible and able to plan and prioritize workload.

You must hold a clean and valid Driving License and be able to undertake the physical aspects of the job role.
