The Role

We are seeking a Project Coordinator who will work directly with Professor Bamini Gopinath - the Cochlear Chair in Hearing and Health and coordinate a novel study within the Public Health and Policy Pillar of the Macquarie University Hearing agenda, aiming to compare health and social outcomes in adult hearing device users.

This role will involve working closely with a wide range of stakeholders including Macquarie University's Research Services and IT departments to develop and manage the research database as well as a range of hearing service providers to recruit adults who are using a hearing aid and/or cochlear implant.

About You

You will be a motivated and driven individual with a commitment to delivering high level project management support and expertise. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to build effective relationships with stakeholders. You will be familiar with the human ethics guidelines and hold experience in quantitative and/or qualitative research methodology including patient recruitment, working on epidemiological surveys and/or clinical trials.

Essential

  • Tertiary qualifications in a health-related discipline
  • Knowledge of project management principles and tools
  • Knowledge of human ethics guidelines
  • Experience in quantitative and/or qualitative research methodology including patient recruitment, working on epidemiological surveys and/or clinical trials
  • Computer skills including MS Office and database management such as REDCap
  • Experience in preparing communications and project reports
  • Building and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of key internal and external stakeholders to achieve project deliverables
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.

Desirable

  • Masters and/or PhD qualifications in a relevant health-related or data science field
  • Experience using statistical software such as SPSS
