About the Role

We are looking for a highly capable Development Manager for the School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing.

Reporting directly to Professor Iain Gray, Director of the Aerospace Theme in the School but with a brief of supporting the School more broadly, the post-holder will play an important leadership role in business development, with direct responsibility for growing the level of industrial, academic and government participation with Cranfield, nationally and internationally across a range of industry sectors. The Development Manager will also have responsibility for managing key stakeholder relationships with companies who will benefit from wider engagement with the University (for example, Boeing). A particular aspect of this role is to support the Boeing relationship with the Integrated Vehicle Health Management Centre and the Boeing ‘Working Together’ Collaboration Agreement with the University. 

About You

The Development Manager will also have responsibility for managing key stakeholder relationships with companies who will benefit from wider engagement with the University.

The successful candidate will hold a Master’s level qualification in a relevant discipline or possess equivalent significant experience in a relevant field and senior role. They will also have a proven track record of securing / growing new business in a relevant domain. Technical awareness in relevant engineering disciplines or closely allied scientific background will also be required.
