Role
As the Registrar (Academic) and Secretary you will lead and guide the
University’s decision-making processes on matters of governance, compliance, and legal affairs. You will fulfil the role of Secretary to Board of Governors, reporting to the Chair, ensuring that matters of governance are sound and effective. You will also report to the Vice-Chancellor and lead the university academic administration, and student-facing services, with a focus of continuous improvement of the student experience and in such a way as to maximise efficiency, trust, confidence and customer-service. In this role you’ll be a member of our University Leadership Board. 

This role will be critical to our strength and success at a significant moment both for our community and for those we serve.

Ideal Candidate
You’ll be an experienced Registrar/Secretary looking to broaden your role into a larger organisation, or an experienced deputy looking to progress into a more senior role. 

You will have substantial leadership experience in higher education with a proven track record in regulation, compliance and assurance matters, as well as a strong strategic understanding of national HE issues relating to academic administration and student experience.

Salary to be set by Vice Chancellor in accordance with Senior staff pay, this will be dependent upon skills and experience
