Part-Time (0.5 FTE), Fixed-Term

This is a part-time, fixed-term contract from November 2021 or, as soon as possible afterwards, until August 2024. 

Applications are invited for the post of part time (0.5 FTE) Research Fellow in the Department of psychology to work on the project The Formation of Children’s Values in School. The Research Fellow will join the team on September 1st, 2021, a year after the project has started, and the post is for 3 years. The project takes place in Switzerland and the UK, and examines values in children of primary school, using a longitudinal study in Switzerland complemented by a comparison (non-longitudinal) study in the UK. The Research Fellow will be in charge of the longitudinal statistical analyses, including guiding and teaching the PhD students on the project in Switzerland and communicating with them in German as needed.

Funding from the Swiss National Science Foundation enables us to offer this position as part of an international team from Royal Holloway University of London, Westminster University, and the University of Basel. The post holder will be working with Prof. Anat Bardi from Royal Holloway University of London, Dr. Anna Doering from Westminster University, and Prof. Elena Makarova from the University of Basel. In addition, the post holder will work closely with two PhD students from the University of Basel.

You will have a PhD in psychology, have deep knowledge of personal values, be able to conduct longitudinal statistical analyses in R, and be able to guide the PhD students on the team in German on how to conduct these analyses and interpret them. You will also have published in peer-reviewed journals, communicate effectively, and work very well as part of a team.
