Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 508029), to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should possess a doctoral degree by research in international studies or global development, with at least 3 years’ relevant teaching experience. Proficiency in English, enthusiasm in teaching, and good mentoring skills are essential. A portfolio of course design and delivery, production of teaching materials, supervision of teaching practice, quality assurance, development and coordination of experiential learning (such as local and international student placement or practicum), and/or student supervision is highly preferred.
The appointee will coordinate academic curriculum for the BASc(GHD) modules. He/She will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in globalisation, global health governance, and seminar courses; oversee the experiential learning components of the BASc(GHD) programme; formulate and implement student placement and assessment; establish and maintain partnership with academic, industrial, governmental, non-governmental and supra-governmental placement sites; and perform other duties as assigned.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
