Research Assistant, Health Economics and Outcomes

Job Description

We are seeking a Research Assistant to join a multi-disciplinary research team to conduct health economics and outcomes research work in the area of chronic respiratory diseases worldwide.

The position provides the candidate a great opportunity to develop big data analytic skills and work with international experts in respiratory medicine, health economics, industry and policy regulators. The job holder will be involved in research projects related to population health economics, individualized predictive modelling, disease trajectory analysis and comparative/cost effectiveness study. The job holder will be an integral part of several research projects with responsibilities including: systematic review, data analysis, and preparation of scientific papers. The job holder will work closely with Assistant Professor Chen Wenjia, as well as local, regional, and international experts in health economics and outcomes research, respiratory medicine and public health agency.

This full-time position is based at the Tahir Foundation Building at National University of Singapore. The position has a 1 year of contract in the first instance and could be extended.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor/Master degrees in statistics, applied math, epidemiology, pharmacy or other health or social sciences related fields
  • Good statistical analytic skills
  • Hands-on experiences in data management and analysis using standard software programs such SAS, Stata, R, python
  • Relevant experiences in quantitative health research.
  • Good written and oral presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English.
