Home to a truly global community of staff and students, the University of Greenwich is proud of its strong position as a large modern university that recruits thousands of students in the UK across London and Kent and across our strong network of international partners.

Our philosophy of Education without Boundaries means that we are committed to deliver the highest levels of student success, enterprise and employment outcomes for students from all walks of life. We have a bold ambition to become the best modern University in the UK by 2030 and to take our already strong reputation forward by creating a strong and distinctive proposition across multiple audience groups.

To achieve this ambition, the University is seeking an exceptional individual to lead our employability and apprenticeship teams. The university is bringing together a number of existing teams who are focused on these activities, and the role holder will have the opportunity to shape and define the future of this space.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Associate Director of Employability and Apprenticeships will play a pivotal role in the future strategic and operational delivery of the team’s priorities. These include delivering an excellent, student orientated service, alongside building deep and impactful external partnerships with employers and providers in the region and nationally.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of developing and managing a substantial employability and/or apprenticeship provision, capturing both high quality service delivery and essential compliance oversight. They will also have excellent leadership, management and influencing skills and the highest levels of cultural competency.

We look forward to applications from candidates who are able to demonstrate a passion for and a clear commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion as well as the mission, values and aspirations of the University.
