School of Nursing and Midwifery is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Research Fellow to maintain and support the Northern Ireland Cerebral Palsy Register (NICPR). The successful candidate will be an active member of the research team assisting in:
- Planning and delivery of NICPR activities,
- Patient and public involvement activities, and
- Development of research proposals related to the NICPR.
This is a Fixed term contract until 31 March 2023.
The successful candidate must have:
- Have, or be about to obtain, a relevant PhD e.g., nursing, midwifery, epidemiology, psychology or allied health.
- At least 3 years relevant research experience in child health, paediatrics, cerebral palsy or disability.
- Experience in management and analyses of large quantitative datasets (using relevant software e.g., SPSS or STATA).
- Experience of preparation and writing of scientific reports and a publication track record commensurate with stage of academic career.
- Demonstrable experience of successful project management and compliance with relevant governance and quality standards.
- Experience of working with paediatric healthcare teams in a clinical setting.
Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
