The post will be based in the Strategy Delivery Unit, which is focussed on co-ordinating and facilitating the implementation of the University's ambitious strategy via the Portfolio Management Office, Business Improvement Team, and driving delivery through project and programme support.

In this role you will be operating at a strategic level, engaging with senior stakeholders, and will have significant opportunity to influence the future direction of the University. The Business Improvement Team is focussed on ensuring that our services are run efficiently and effectively to meet existing and emerging needs.

You will lead the Business Improvement Team and proactively develop services to support the operational effectiveness of the University. This includes:

  • developing an evidence base to identify new opportunities for business improvement;
  • defining and embedding the standards for service redesign, process improvement, and change management methodologies; and,
  • building a culture of continuous improvement.

The post holder will work across the University and will liaise with other professional service departments to lead the integration of an agreed portfolio of business improvement activities.
