About the role

An opportunity has arisen to work within the Finance and Contracts team, supporting the Finance Managers with the financial administration of programmes within the Wessex Institute.  You will initially be responsible for reviewing projects’ financial reconciliation statements ensuring they adhere to funders’ financial regulations, carry out contract variations as well as manage project payments.  There will be an opportunity to get involved with other duties as required.   You will provide accountancy support and general financial advice to both internal and external stakeholders.

You will be educated to an HNC, A-Level, NVQ3 level standard with proven work experience acquired in relevant roles and job-related training and have a minimum of AAT qualification. You will be a well-organised, analytical and self-motivated individual who is able to prioritise their own workload and use initiative to adapt and refine working practices.

This is an outstanding opportunity in a developing organisation. In addition, the University offers many benefits of a good employer – a pension scheme, generous holiday allowance as well as excellent leisure and arts facilities.

Staff are working remotely in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and it is likely that the successful candidate will also be required to.
