Applications are invited for aSpecified Purpose (Estimated 1 year) post of a **Administrator - Admin Support Team **within UCD Sutherland School of Law
UCD Sutherland School of Law Office requires an Executive Assistant who will report into the Director or their nominee. A key priority of this team will be to provide dynamic and flexible administration support to the School.
The Administration Support Team will provide high level day-to-day administrative expertise to the School, supporting the seamless delivery of academic and student supports in an effective and professional manner. This includes the delivery of a highly flexible, responsive and effective service to students, schools, staff and other key stakeholders to support the collective efforts of the School. The post will operate in an exciting and evolving environment.
The appointee will engage in a range of duties and responsibilities to support the successful implementation and operation of the academic and student support service of the School Team including the USM in the University. Executive Assistants assigned to the Administrative Support Team will provide cross functional support e.g. Marketing & Communications, Research Support, Programme Support, Committee Support, School Officer or academic Support and will have a dotted reporting line to a nominee within their primary area of focus.
The Administration Support Team will operate as a team and each member will be expected to carry out admin activities outside the remit of their primary area of focus.
This sense of teamwork and collegiality will support a flexible and collaborative environment, enhance the ability to provide cross-coverage for their team members, manage peaks and troughs in workload and facilitate increased sharing of expertise within the team.
The role will work as part of the Administration Support Team and will work closely with the College, central support units and stakeholders outside of UCD to ensure the smoothest possible operation of all aspects of the office. The role holder will require excellent time management and organisational skills, tact and discretion in handling sensitive information and the ability to work in a collegial manner. Candidates will have excellent general office administration and organisational skills and be able to use initiative to work collaboratively within a team environment.
S/He will also have good interpersonal and communications skills and be able to use discretion in handling confidential information.
95 Executive Assistant\2010 Salary Scale: €25,445 - €40,594 per annum Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
