About the position

This position is located in the La Trobe Sport and Exercise Medicine Research Centre. The Centre’s research focus is to increase sport and exercise medicine knowledge through excellent collaborative research and to translate knowledge to policy, practice, participation, health, and wellbeing. An industry sponsored (Levin Health) program of research (including a clinical trial investigating the efficacy of cannabis on chronic musculoskeletal pain) requires an experienced sport and exercise medicine physician as a Senior Project Advisor.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will be a sport and exercise medicine physician, have completed a PhD or equivalent standing, together with substantial research experience. You will have an outstanding record of publications, including papers in top-tier and high-impact journals, conference papers, reports and/or professional and/or technical contributions in the relevant discipline area. You will also have evidence of an international reputation in the sport and exercise medicine field. An established relationship with the industry sponsor (Levin Health) and prior work in developing clinical trial protocols and ethics applications is also essential.
