Kōreromōtetūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently seeking a full-time Pūkenga, Senior Lecturer, to work into a number of academic courses. In addition, you would be providing postgraduate research supervision at Masters and PhD level, dependent on experience within the School of Nursing, Midwifery, and Health Practice. Time will also be available to undertake research.

This is an exciting opportunity to bring your skills and experience to the School, which is uniquely located at Wellington Regional Hospital in New Zealand's capital city, with experienced academics and strong relationships with national policy and health service stakeholders to grow your research platform.

Ō pūmanawa - About you 

The successful applicant will have a doctoral qualification and have experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate nursing courses. You will have an emerging record of scholarly research and commitment to working with research teams and seeking research funding.

This is a permanent position and commences as soon as possible. You would be joining a growing and dynamic school at the Faculty of Health.

Key requirements:

  • A completed a doctoral qualification
  • Experience in teaching health professionals, as well as supervising at postgraduate level
  • A record of scholarly research
  • A commitment to working with research teams and seeking research funding
