The School of Science is a large, comprehensive School with learning, teaching and research excellence encompassing a wide range of disciplines including biological, chemical, environmental, food, forensic, medical, nutritional, and physical sciences, and horticulture and astronomy, providing an exceptional environment for truly cutting edge, transdisciplinary activity.

An exciting new senior academic leadership role has been created to lead the multi-disciplinary Integrated AgriFood and Security program, including research, the development of and teaching into new units, and HRD supervision. As Professor, you will lead and build this exciting new program including a new academic team and work closely with research and teaching staff in the wider School of Science and beyond. The development of industry networks and relationships external to the University will be essential.

To be successful in this role you will have a PhD or equivalent, industry experience and highly credible knowledge within a field relevant to integrated agrifood management and security and its applications. You should have demonstrated experience in academic leadership in teaching, research and scholarship, and in building relationships and research collaborations, including partnerships with government, industry and community groups.
