The Department of French and European Studies accepts applications for the position of Special Teaching Scientist for the Fall Semester 2021-2022.

Applicants will be required to teach the following course: GES 373 COMMUNICATION PROFESSIONNELLE

Appointment for the position will be subject to funding availabilities.

TASKS AND DUTIES

Teaching: the course is taught 3 hours a week (twice a week).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A doctoral degree in a field related to the course.
  • The teaching language is French.

REMUNERATION

The fees for Special Scientists are €63 (gross) per teaching hour for PhD holders. The payment is made as follows: remuneration per teaching hour x 3 teaching hours per week x 15 weeks. From the total salary of €2835 (€63 x 3 teaching hours x 15 weeks), the employee’s contributions to the various state funds will be deducted.

The candidates do not need to be citizens of the Republic of Cyprus.

The selected candidates will be required to submit certified copies of their degrees issued by the Ministry of Education (for the degrees issued by Private Schools or Universities in Cyprus) or by the relevant authorities (for Universities abroad).

In case the selected candidate is already employed in the Public or Wider Public sector, he/she must obtain an authorization from the relevant Department or Ministry.
