Following recognition of our excellent research in REF 2014, outstanding student satisfaction in the 2020 NSS, and strong undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment, we are seeking to make a further appointment at Associate Professor level to expand our expertise in the area of Clinical Animal Behaviour. This post will support delivery of teaching primarily at postgraduate level across our Animal Behaviour programmes but will include final year dissertation students as well masters level students.

We are seeking a candidate who:

  • Has a strong academic profile related to any area of Clinical Animal Behaviour, although we would particularly welcome applicants with experience in canine behaviour
  • Has experience of, and the ability to lead, on distance learning initiatives in the field of Clinical Animal Behaviour
  • Is an excellent communicator who will complement the School’s existing profile, working closely with other members within the School of Life Sciences including the Animal Behaviour Clinic, as well as external partners
  • Is ASAB CCAB accredited and has the skill set required to see clinical cases as part of the Animal Behaviour Clinic.
