About the role

The National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) is an internationally recognised centre of excellence and innovation in naturopathic medicine education and associated research. The Centre offers research and education programs, supervision of HDR students, applied research focused on practice-based themes, a summer and winter school for health professionals and students, and profession-focused and industry-partnered short courses.

This is an exciting opportunity for a naturopathic medicine academic to play a key role in the design and delivery of new programs offered by the Centre. The appointee will imbed evidenced-based research and contemporary learning technologies and innovation to maximise the learning experience and graduate outcomes of our students.

This is a Teaching Scholar appointment, and the strong focus will be on the design and delivery of programs.A further term may be offered after the one year contract subject to funding and the ongoing requirements of the University.

This position is located in Lismore, NSW. This region offers the very best of an Australian lifestyle, with proximity to amazing beaches and coastline from Byron Bay to Evans Head and access to old growth World Heritage Listed rainforests and many National Parks.

Lecturer - A remuneration package of up to $140,609 per annum is offered for a Lecturer appointment, inclusive of base salary $101,544-$120,179 per annum and 17% employer's contribution to superannuation.

Associate Lecturer - A remuneration package of up to $112,992 per annum is offered for an Associate Lecturer appointment, inclusive of base salary $71,728-$96,574 per annum and 17% employer's contribution to superannuation. An appointee with a PhD will have a minimum commencement remuneration package of $105,431 per annum.

About you

You will have postgraduate qualifications in naturopathic medicine and experience teaching in a tertiary environment. You will be able to demonstrate a commitment to the advancement of naturopathic medicine and/or integrative healthcare that focuses on enhanced outcomes for the patient.

This role has a focus on the development of educational materials, and as such you will draw on your experience in the design and development of innovative curricula and utilising contemporary educational technologies to enhance the student experience and outcomes.
