There is a vacancy at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Zurich as of February 1st, 2022.

The available position as Assistant Professor of Digital Religion(s) is open for six years (without tenure track). The future chair holder will be involved in research, teaching and services provided by the University Research Priority Program „Digital Religion(s) – Communication, Interaction and Trans-formation in the Digital Society”. Prerequisites for applications are a completed degree and a doctorate in Religious Studies or Theology or another Humanities or Social Science subject with a focus on religion-related topics. The research interests should lie in “Digital Religion(s)” and have links to interdisciplinary areas.

The teaching load is 2-4 per week for the course of each semester. The ability to communicate scientific findings to the social public is expected. Fluent knowledge of the German and the English language (also for research and teaching) is a prerequisite. The University aims to increase the proportion of women in research and teaching and therefore expressly invites applications from qualified female academics.
