National Institute for Health Research Applied Research Collaboration Wessex (NIHR ARC WESSEX) 

The National Institute for Health Research Applied Research Collaboration (NIHR ARC Wessex) is a Department of Health and Social Care funded programme of research that provides high quality, implementation-based research to support decision makers in health and healthcare.
 
We are looking for an experienced administrator to join a small enthusiastic and cohesive team working flexibly to support the management of health and social care research. Working together with the rest of team you will provide support to the varied work of the ARC.  

We are looking for someone with experience of providing administrative support to senior staff including diaries, meeting organisation and travel arrangements ideally in an academic or research environment.  Experience managing the wider office environment including stationery ordering, and other consumables, would be an advantage. An effective team player you will flexibly provide administrative support across the ARC both with senior colleagues, and occasionally at specific project level. You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining close attention to detail and a calm and cheerful manner. You will have good organisational skills and an interest in supporting the development of health research and professionals in the UK.  

The post is part time exact hours and working pattern negotiable and will be based at the ARC Wessex offices (Southampton Science Park).  At the current time, all systems are set up for remote working while restrictions are in place due to Covid-19.  The employing organisation is the University of Southampton which offers a competitive salary, pension scheme and other benefits.
