Research Assistant, Anatomy
The National University of Singapore invites applications for a post of Research Assistant positions in the Department of Anatomy, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Appointments will be on a 1-year contract in the first instance, with the possibility of extension.
The appointee will explore how to promote neuronal differentiation from stem cells by targeting the small RNA binding protein, PIWIL4. The goal is to enhance the capability to generate functional neurons to treat neurodegenerative diseases.
The appointee is required to have a Bachelor’s degree in life science or medicine with hands-on experience in neuroscience, stem cell biology, biochemical and molecular experiments. Previous research background in neurodegenerative diseases is preferred.
Remuneration will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
