About the position
This is a Level B Teaching Focussed academic position expected to demonstrate teaching excellence in keeping with the La Trobe Teaching Excellence Principles. You will plan, conduct and review training sessions as well as prepare briefing papers on curriculum, teaching and management services as required. You will ensure the effective and consistent implementation of the Certificate IV in Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Management, and manage all stakeholders and contractual obligations.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- A PhD or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline areas.
- A qualification in archaeology with subjects relevant to Aboriginal archaeology or Aboriginal cultural heritage management or related disciplines.
- Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40110 plus TAEASS502 and TAELLN411).
- Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, curriculum development and subject coordination in face-to-face, blended and/or online modes.
- Demonstrated ability to influence the teaching practice of others and the ability to engage with the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
Desirable
- Experience in the Victorian Aboriginal cultural heritage management industry.
- Experience working alongside or consulting with Aboriginal communities.
