The Australian National University, one of the World's leading research universities, has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, customer serviced focused finance professional to work within the University's Finance and Business Services Division (F&BS). F&BS supports the University's strategic and operational goals through the provision of professional corporate financial management and administration, reporting and effective business services.

Position overview

The Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant is responsible for the coordination and preparation of the University's annual budget and quarterly financial forecasting and provides high level support and assistance in the management of the University's annual financial planning process. This role will also undertake financial modelling and prepare relevant financial analysis documentation to support strategic initiatives and projects.

The successful candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications (CA, CPA) and experience providing high-level financial budgeting, forecasting, modelling and reporting to senior stakeholders within a tertiary environment or similar complex organisation. Your ability to understanding contemporary budgeting and management reporting practices will be complimented by excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
