Part time: 21 hours per week 
Fixed Term: 18 months 

The Digital Learning Technologist will work with academic and clinical teams developing simulated placement activity across a range of programmes;  Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedic/Allied Health.  They will support academic colleagues to develop digitally enhanced learning within these areas.

The successful appointee will identify and drive improvement projects to manage the ongoing development and enhancement of the VLE and be a key contributor, influencing the development, communication and implementation of the School’s Simulated Placement activity. 

The post holder will work collaboratively with academic teams and relevant professional service teams to create effective and engaging e-learning that is transferable and sustainable across a range of health-related programmes.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or have equivalent work experience and be able to demonstrate examples of development of quality e-learning content. 

Excellent written, verbal and online communication skills are essential as is the ability to explain technical details in a non-technical manner to academic and clinical skills colleagues. A flexible and adaptable approach to work is crucial with the ability to work in a team environment, supporting colleagues and sharing expertise.

This post will be based at either Paisley or Lanarkshire campus, depending on the preference of the successful candidate, however all colleagues may be required to work at any UWS campus or location from time to time to meet needs of the business. There will also be time spent working from home in this role.
