About the Role

As the Associate Professor in Physical Activity and Health you will make an outstanding contribution to academic leadership to support the teaching of undergraduate, honours and postgraduate programs. You will also make innovative contributions to the advancement of teaching and enhance the research profile of Allied Health and Human Performance through the development of a program of collaborative research supported by competitive research grant funding.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to support teaching and learning initiatives to enhance the student experience and ensure graduates are the preferred employees of industry
  • Teach and assess undergraduate/postgraduate courses
  • Conduct research and scholarly activity, which results in publications in both academic refereed and professional journals
  • Enhance the research profile, reputation and brand of the University and UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance

Essential Skills and Experience

  • A doctorate qualification and evidence of a record of achievement and national reputation related to the role of physical activity in health
  • Experience using a range of contemporary teaching methodologies and modes of delivery
  • Demonstrated experience providing academic leadership to develop a culture of teaching and learning excellence
  • Evidence of successful competitive research grant applications and outcomes
  • Experience in the supervision of honours and postgraduate students
