Lecturer in Business Analytics

The Business Analytics, Circular Economy and Supply Chain (BACES) Research Centre is currently taking a leading role in shaping and driving the Business Analytics (AI) field for the School and University. As a result, the School is committed to supporting this strategy with the appointment of a Lecturer in Business Analytics to contribute to research and teaching capability in this field. The successful candidate will join the BACES Research Centre, which is a key area of future growth and investment for the School having successfully launched a MSc in Applied Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics programme in September 2020 which received funding by Office for Students (OfS).
The ideal candidate must possess a Doctorate in a relevant field and will be expected to have a research track record at 3* or 4* CABS journal level and ambition of pursuing of research grant income. The candidate will be expected to lead and contribute to the development and direction of the Business Analytics field. The candidate will possess quantitative analytical skills as well as have knowledge expertise covering key areas such as Business Analytics, Business Forecasting and Simulation, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Big Data Strategy for Decision Making. Specifically, the candidate must have technical skillsets such as data analytics, modelling and simulation and have knowledge of using softwares/ cloud-based applications such as Amazon Web Services, SAP, SAS and open source tools (R and Python) for teaching within a business and management context.
