The Digital and Data Driven Marketing Department at Southampton consistently ranks as one of the top marketing departments in the UK according to the Complete University Guide. Comprising of 17 academics, our teaching and research interests include digital marketing, marketing strategy, consumer behaviour, brand management, luxury marketing, services marketing, entrepreneurship, and marketing analytics. The department members have published their research in the top-tier journals including: Journal of Retailing, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of World Business, Harvard Business Review, Journal of Business Research, and Industrial Marketing Management among others. The department has a thriving undergraduate and postgraduate portfolio, which is built on the research strengths and focus of department staff.
We are looking for candidates with a passion for marketing and particularly welcome applications from candidates with an emerging or established profile in the areas of marketing analytics, applied digital marketing, advertising and promotions, and marketing strategy to join our thriving community. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with a strong quantitative background.
You will have a PhD (or equivalent degree/professional qualifications and experience) in Marketing with an established track record of research publications at a minimum ABS 3* level (or equivalent standing), coupled with research grant activity. You will also demonstrate a strong interest in innovative approaches to teaching and be expected to provide research support (as appropriate) and collaborate with others in the group.

If you are primarily an educationalist you will be appointed on an education pathway and your title will be either Teaching Fellow or Senior Teaching Fellow.
