Role Description

About CEA

CEA is responsible for building and protecting Cranfield’s reputation, engaging with a range of stakeholders and raising awareness of Cranfield’s brand and its distinctiveness.

CEA takes the lead on brand marketing, content and publications; media relations; social media; internal communications; public and Government affairs; events and digital/web.

About the Role

The Web Editor is part of the Communications and External Affairs (CEA) PSU. This role plays a key part in supporting the digital team to ensure that the website is maintained and kept at a high level. This role is essential for the day to day running of the website, supporting 40+ web editors and stakeholders in updating content on the website and responding to any web requests that come into the team. The role also helps support key digital projects and associated tasks, along with web updates, new section and page creation along with analysing performance and traffic.

About You

You should be educated to Degree level in either English, New Media, Media Production, Journalism, or a similar subject. You will have experience of using Google analytics and have knowledge in the emerging trends of social media.

Some of the key skills that you will need to possess include strong communication and networking skills, and a proactive, can-do approach with a willingness to identify and pursue a story.
