Participation Giving Coordinator
The Advancement Office is responsible for building relationships that inspire alumni and other stakeholders to support Northumbria University through philanthropic giving. The team works with partners and supporters who have a shared ambition of making a positive and sustainable difference to the education, experience and future aspirations of our students.
We are looking for a new team member to help the securing of income from individual donors by developing our participation giving activity. This includes writing Cases for Support for the Alumni Fund and other fundraising activities.
The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and creative. They will bring their own ideas to the role, have a desire to continually improve and work with innovation and pride. They will be able to demonstrate professional experience of working independently in a fundraising role and will have a thorough understanding of relationship fundraising and the challenges and opportunities that this presents. They will also be skilled at creating engaging and compelling copy, editing and proofing, writing for a variety of audiences and communication channels including email, the web, social media and print.
To succeed in this role, applicants will need significant experience of organising individual giving or regular giving campaigns including email, telethons, direct mail and social media campaigns as well as excellent time management and project management skills. They will also have a strong team working ethic, with a willingness to support colleagues across the department and the ability to build long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders
